One of the most famous cinematic love triangles hit the screen in 1942, with the premiere of Casablanca. When Ilsa Lund walks back into Rick Blaine's gin joint and life, she comes with Victor Lazlo her husband. The reunion between Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman) and Rick (Humphrey Bogart) eventually allows Ilsa to explain to her former lover why she left him in the lurch some time ago: she had discovered that her husband wasn't dead, as she had thought when she fell for Rick. Victor is a resistance leader, but Rick becomes a hero too, helping the couple escape the Nazis. As for Rick and Ilsa, they'll "always have Paris."
